Do you see those things on the side of the chair? You young people refer to them as armrests. I used to too.
However, as you get older and your knees decay like rotten teeth, you will call them armlifts and they are far more important to you than the armrests ever were. You will use them to push yourself out of the chair; otherwise, you’d spend all day in the chair just waiting for a friendly person to help you get up. We have a couch in the family room that I don’t dare sit on for fear of never returning to my feet again. The armlifts aren’t very good – too high.
