As there is less traffic, and so less noise and pollution, bird song seems stronger, more insistent and very appealing. It is as if the birds are reminding us that they too share the planet. Thomas Merton had a number of spiritual awakenings linked to birdsong. One of the most beautifully written is on June…

Enjoyed another one of Fiona’s postings and then I went to YouTube and watched one of my favorite artists. Fiona’s writings went well with this song.
I love, love this song, I had an album of his and used to play that song frequently, so sweet and beautiful. So many memories rush to my mind when I hear this song. Thank you for sharing it, wonderful way to start the day.

He sang so many fantastic tunes, didn’t he?

Yes, he sure did, I went to YouTube and found an album with all of his songs, it was such a nostalgic morning yesterday, lovely memories. I was quite sad when he stopped his music career, I am so happy he has returned. Music of the ages. 🙂

I understand that feeling Len. My hearing is shot at the higher frequencies so bird chirps are often out my range, and cell phone rings, and etc
