We bought a new Subaru Forester last week which means we are now tree huggers for real.
Missing the fall colors, we decided to take a 3 hour drive north to Ashland, Oregon and visit a favorite place, Lithia Park. Tomorrow we will go another 30 minutes north into Grants Pass, Oregon in search of more fall colors.
Lithia Park

Now finally, Len, couldn’t somebody write a great short story from this scene? An older gentleman sharing his gift with others in Lithia Park today. The Leonard Cohen’s melody combined with the man on a crutch was very touching.
What a wonderful experience, I love, love that song. Nature and a musical gift such a grand day.

Autumn my favourite time of year. “Season of mist and mellow fruitfulness”. Loved those scenes in the park, especially the woman laying back on the bench reading. Leonard Cohen, one of my favourites as well, watched his last tours umpteen times. Nothing like the smell of a new car, congratulations on your new edition.

Yes, she was absolutely engaged in her book. It was really cool to see. Leonard Cohen, another wonderful Canadian artist! Sure was nice to get out and be part of that mellowness.
