So far in the month of May, from the yard, I have eaten oranges, strawberries, cherries, squash, cucumbers, apricots, beans. I’ve eaten something everyday in May and being a bit weird, I have challenged myself to eat something we’ve grown every single day from May 1st 2025 until May 1st 2026. Why I make such goals, only a good therapist would know.
The arena garden is really shaping us nicely. I’ll post some pics soon. Flowers are from the yard.
Wow, so impressive! A very worthy goal. Do you put some in a dehydrator? Bet they are so tasty!

That variety of apricots (Tomcot) is early. I didn’t thin out the crop this spring because the winds have been really strong and I thought I’d lose too many of them to it. But, no, the little buggers stood their ground. They are tasty but nothing like the next group to ripen in about 10 days. I have a little multifunctional oven/airfryer/dehydrator that I am going to try and use with the next crop of apricots – although I am tempted to buy a larger dehydrator. They’re not terribly expensive and could load up a lot more fruit.

Although we like fresh fruit in season, we eat a lot of dried fruit in fall/winter. I’ve always preferred fruit over veggies. 🙂

That’s great, fresh from the garden every day, I can’t imagine a tastier and healthier way to eat.
